Hanewinckel’s basses aren’t easy to find, but among those of us who are hip to him, his work is greatly appreciated.
This example is an Alder bodied , figured Myrtle topped beauty. The 34” neck is a pleasure to play, and the B is tight and focused. Note the upgraded Birdseye/Flamed Maple in the neck – gorgeous.
The fretboard is Wenge. The finish is multiple coated hand-rubbed oil – nice shine and feel. The pickups (quad coil) and preamp (3 band) are by Bartolini, with one toggle (the “P” switch) selecting coil activation in a P Bass shape. The other toggle is a 3 position frequency selector for the midrange.
This bass is supplied with a well-padded gig bag, tool kit and leather strap.
