Before getting into the archtop guitar biz, Bill used to do some work at Conklin ( they are both located in Springfield , MO ).
This bass was made during that period ( notice the neck construction ) , but never sold.
The 35” scale neck is 7 pieces, primarily highly Flamed Maple with runners, Macassar Ebony fretboard.
The body is Maple with Walnut separating the body halves, and the top is Bocate.
Electronics are by Duncan.
This bass shows minor signs of use, but is fully warrantied by Bill Moll.
BTW, this bass does have some mass – nearly 12lbs of honkin’ Maple.
Big mass = Big Sound , at least in this case it does.
