Joe Veillette Baritone Guitar - Bassists, here is your “transition” axe. You don’t want to be seen with a guitar, but you want to show your guitarist how it’s done? I understand – jump on this baby !! Typically tuned down a 3rd or 4th from a guitar tuning, this axe, with its 27 3/4th inch scale, feels more comfortable than a dinky neck guitar. I like to tune it like my six string bass – BEADGC. This bari is #19 , handmade by Joe Veillette in 1995. The body is Alder with a sweet Flame Maple top. Three piece quartersawn Maple neck, Pau feero fretboard, gloss body, oil neck. The string run thru the body. With two EMG SA pickups with a Mike Christian piezo bridge pickup , there are electric and acoustic tones to be had, as well as combinations of both. This bari has seen very little action, it is in exceptionally fine condition.
